The sushi and ramen were very delicious and there were many different options and ingredients. The staff was incredibly helpful and fast.
So the ramen was pretty good, the chashu pork was really good and the other toppings seemed pretty fresh and good quality. I did think the broth seemed kind of watered down and bland. The pot stickers and yuzu soda were really good too you should definitely get some if you go. But, the vibes/atmosphere was not the best. It seemed kind of plain but this might just be because the place is relatively new. There should be more decorations and extra stuff in my opinion. But overall it was pretty good.
Toro Ramen and Sushi had excellent service and the restaurant was clean. We ordered the Spider roll which is soft shelled crab, cucumber, and kaiware. It was pretty good. Even my daughter who doesn't like sushi enjoyed that roll. We also ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with short rib and the Tonkatsu/Shoyu blend with Chashu. Both had very flavorful broths, the noodles were perfectly chewy, and the meat was tender and savory. We'll definitely go back if we're in the area.
I'm pleasantly surprised: the sushi is pretty good, especially for the price, and everything tastes very fresh and bright.
We love nearby, and I probably wouldn't have checked it out if not for that, but actually the food is very much worth it. Of course it won't compete with Takashi, or similarly good places, but the fish is very fresh and the rolls are tasty.
Toro Ramen is one of the better Ramens in the Valley that I've had for sure, but not quite the top still! Still better than a lot of others! It gets a good 4/5.
To start, Pot Stickers and the Yuzu Sodas are awesome. The soda might keep me coming back! Please get one if you go! The Ramen choices and toppings are pretty limited, but good quality. The Tonkotsu Broth and the blend with Miso are very good. Creamy, good umami, just needs that extra kick of flavor and spice. I loved the Chili Oil they provide. The Chashu is really good, but it's a preference. I personally loved how they torch the top of the pork for a fire roasted flavor. It doesn't make it as tender, so others didnt like it and would stick with the tender pork texture and its own flavor. If you do get the Chashu Ramen, it is LOADED with Chashu. I've never been somewhere who gives you more Chashu than noodles, it was pretty great. I do think the noodles were a tiny bit overdone, and yes, I do wish there were more for how much broth there there is.
Overall a great Ramen joint!
