Customer service not great. Workers don’t seem happy to be there and we didn’t get a single smile. Store is super quiet, kinda awkward. I got a bowl and it was good, I’ll come back for the food but service needs some work.
The food was excellent. I’ve been to another location before and will continue to go back.
This location serves Spanish rice and I prefer it over the white or brown rice. There is a large dining area with open spacious feel. I recommend to mix Barbacoa beef and pork (1/2 & 1/2) in same burrito. Smothered or regular is good, but usually get smothered at this location with both green and red sauces.
Cafe Rio has their sweet pork, and Barbacoa has their Barbacoa pork, a not sweet, more tasteful and savory option. I enjoyed my Barbacoa pork burrito with all the sauces on it, thanks to the free enchilada style option. I also enjoyed the option to put fajita veggies on the burrito instead of beans...my wife also was grateful for that. I enjoyed not feeling rushed at the counter like I often do at Cafe Rio, and though the atmosphere is a more sterile and bare-bones, I enjoyed the warm personal touch I felt from the staff. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit and will come again soon.
