Maize Tacos

The meat is good, but I don't really enjoy the thicker bread-like tortilla or the chips much...it's definitely homemade, but I guess I just aren't very use to this texture.

Maize Tacos was amazing. The corn tortillas where so good they are the best I’ve had. I loved the thickness and how soft they where. We ordered 3 Carne Asada and 2 Carnitas tacos. But they ended up giving us 5 Carnitas tacos which cost less then Carne Asada. That was frustrating but the Carnitas tacos where so good we enjoyed what we ended up with. They also had a great selection of toppings, I loved their mild red sauce.

Great food, the tacos had great corn tortillas that were homemade. This place reminds me of Smoked taco, because the tacos have a large variety of fillings and a large quantity of fillings. You can tell they focus on flavor, although the presentation was great.
The mahi mahi taco was very spicy, both my father in law and myself couldn't eat it because of the heat, but my husband hardly noticed it. The carnitas taco was melt in your mouth goodness, and the pastor was done right, lots of meat, little pineapple, cut up instead of one but hunk, and full of flavor.
My husband used sauces on all of his tacos because he likes the heat, but I enjoyed my tacos just as it was served.
We will definitely come by again when we're in the area.

Beautiful tacos…really average taste. You get these tacos in front of you on these homemade corn tortillas and you think, “oh man, this is going to be epic!” And then you try your first bite of shrimp taco, then carne asada, then lobster and all of them are meh. You think “okay, it says award winning best al pastor … it has to be epic.” I’m imagining eating loads of the best al pastor tacos of my life vacationing in Mexico City. And then it falls vastly short of expectations. I came here for lunch recently too and did like it better. Maybe tonight it was just….off.

The food is outstanding. Probably the best tacos in the area. The homemade corn tortillas are delicious. I tried 3 of the tacos... shrimp, lobster, and carnitas. Not a single complaint. Very good food.

I would have given this place a higher rating but we had communication issues. One of our grandsons wanted a bean and cheese burrito. It's not on the menu but they have the ingredients. Try as we did, we couldn't communicate the request to the staff.

One other issue is that, although the salsa bar has a great selection and is also delicious, the sneeze guard wasn't screwed on. It was simply hanging off the back of the bar with no protection over the food.
