This is the kind of place that I wanted to love. It's small, locally owned and definitely off the beaten path. I've gotta say, it definitely wasn't worth a trip to Magna. If you happen to BE in Magna, I think it's an okay choice. I'm not super familiar with the area, but if you wanted to avoid a national chain then Ken's can fill that niche pretty nicely.
This place is SUPER small though. Only 3 tables. I lucked out and got one of the three. You might plan on taking your sandwich to go though. I didn't see any outdoor seating either. So the place could seat 12 max. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it was a bit cramped.
The sandwich, the reason you're there, isn't anything remarkable. I thought the 6" was a bit small compared to other spots like That Sandwich Shop in Rose Park. That's not the end of the world though. It just wasn't anything special at all. I got the Turkey Deluxe with everything. (Which is their most popular sandwich.) Nothing bad about the sandwich it seemed like they use fresh ingredients and the bread was okay. The turkey seemed to be on the cheap side. I guess I was hoping for something a little more given the other reviews I'd read.
So, like I said to start, if you are in Magna and want a good, fair priced sandwich from a locally owned spot, Ken's is probably for you. But I wouldn't recommend seeking them out as some "hidden gem" sort of place. My overall rating is just sort of a "Meh."
Edit: I want to clarify that my less than glowing review isn't to say this place is bad. It's not bad. I just got excited and drove all the way out from SLC to try it. I really do have a soft spot for small "mom and pop" type places. I love what they are doing and I think it's a great little spot. I would just recommend tempering one's expectations if you are going to make the trek to Magna just to try this place. :-)

Seriously love this place! I have been coming here all my life. This ia a family favorite. I live out in South Jordan and still try to make it out here once a week or at least once a month. Its definitely not your average sanwhich shop. They have ice cream and shakesas well as the avocado and sprouts that most sandwhich shops don't serve. Not to mention the sauce(mixture of mayo and mustard) that is just right. Also none of their cheese is sliced its all grated which is different than other places, but adds to this places uniqueness!
