Akasaka Sushi

Needed some sushi since we haven’t had any since the quarantine started. Got take out of 5 rolls, miso, and mussels. Was AWESOME! We’ll be going here more often and to stay when done in is available again.

Looks can be deceiving, this little place is very cute inside and the food is good. The owner was the only person working there on the day we went and he did a fantastic job of being server, sushi chef, and cook. All businesses are slow right now due to Covid, so it’s understandable that he was working alone. We didn’t mind that service was a little slow and neither did the other customers. We didn’t order big heavy meals, like terri or bento box meals, so he wouldn’t have to keep running back and forth to keep checking on the food cooking in the kitchen. The only downer was they don’t make Oyakodon or okonomiyaki lol But the sushi we ordered was well prepared and the fish tasted fresh. On Tuesday’s and Thursday’s they run a special on buy one roll from their Top 10 list and get another for 50% off, which includes their famous Vampire roll. They also have a great deal on All You Can Eat for 25.99, a pretty sweet deal if you ask me! The owner is super nice and personable, we really had a lovely meal and it always feels good to support small local businesses that deserve it, especially during these tough times. So just go, eat, enjoy, and be happy ?

My husband and I have been coming to Akasaka since 2013. The food is delicious, service is amazing and the prices aren't the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for with sushi sooo... You won't regret coming here.

Such delicious and filling rolls. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but once you’re inside and eating the food you’ll wonder why you’d ever second guess this place. The staff is incredibly friendly as well and we chatted with the chef for a while. We will definitely be back!
