I remember when the owner first opened his very first restaurant. My mother worked there. She loved working for him. He was like if he was her son.I am sure who ever ate there. One of Rose Park's best kept secrets for sure! My husband and I love to come here for lunch or dinner. Priced extremely reasonable, their daily specials are a 'go to' for us. Staff are always friendly and it's a cozy environment to get comfort food. We love to support local business, especially when they provide delicious food and good service every time!

I think this is one of the best kept secrets of the Rose Park / Fairpark area. They have great Mexican food and great prices. I’ve enjoyed everything that I’ve ordered from here. They have a great chili verde and my wife loves the nachos. The tamales are good too. I think they could do a little better with the salsa that they bring as an appetizer but it wouldn’t stop me from going there. If you’re feeling adventurous, wash your meal down with a 1/2 Diet Coke and 1/2 Red Cream Soda mixture.

Chubby's is one of my local favorites. If I'm in the area and feel like Mexican this is one of my 2 go tos.
The chips and salsa is average but everything else that I've tried is great. All of their meats are full of flavor and very tender. Today I went with a smothered shreded beef burrito. It was exellent.
