Burgers lack basic flavoring. The jalapeño poppers and sauce are really not good. Overcooked bacon and bland filling.
Although my review may not be shining I recommend others try this restaurant out.
The food kind of hit weird. I think it I was surprised by the mozzarella cheese on the burger. I was not expecting it, and maybe it was the particular cook, or the way it is traditionally prepared was somewhat spongy and gelatinous.
I wasn’t able to finish the whole meal.
That being said, the food presentation was great, the ingredients seemed fresh, and it’s a locally owned restaurant trying something new, so that’s why I recommend others try it out, it may not be my taste, but it might be another’s, pot of gold.
One of the best burger I've had in a long time. The jalapeño poppers were fire. Great place to chill and enjoy a nice meal. Great service and friendly staff.
Overall, I had a positive experience with the Loco Burger. I found a TikTok on the place and had to try it out. I loved the loaded burger, even though it was not a hand made patty, it is a testament to the quality of the ingredients used in the burger. My only critique would be the price, it was a little high for what I received. I know that some would be expecting a hand-made patty at those prices. While it's always nice to have a hand-made patty, sometimes the quality of the ingredients can make up for it. In this case it absolutely did. Nevertheless, I would still come back despite the price, the quality of the food and the overall experience were worth it.
I also enjoyed the fries, but the highlight of my meal was the Loco spicy sauce. It's a great sauce had a nice flavor despite being very spicy, which can be difficult to achieve. The sauce was likely a key factor in making the meal memorable.
The customer service was also outstanding. The cashier was very nice, helpful and recommended the spicy sauce. Also, while I was there, they helped out a homeless family with a meal. Tells me that the business has a heart and cares for those in need.
Overall, the Loco Burger is a great option for those who enjoy loaded Mexican burgers and spicy sauces, even if the price is a bit steep. The quality of the ingredients and the overall experience made up for any shortcomings, and it's worth trying if you're in the area.
** not part of the review (as it’s not in the restaurant’s control) but something people should know
Parking in this area is not great. It’s pretty much street parking, took me a few U-turns and play the waiting game to find a spot to park the car. It was either that or walking a mile to the restaurant. **
