Ruby River

Was really craving a steak and after reading some reviews, thought I would give Ruby River a try! I ordered a medium rare 20 oz. Bone-In New York with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus as a to-go order. Unfortunately after driving home to eat, I discovered that the steak was actually cooked more to medium well than medium rare. The asparagus had the opposite problem, and were undercooked. I ended up not eating them.

Despite being pretty overcooked, the steak was still tender and well seasoned. I just was hoping I would get the steak I've been craving. The mashed potatoes were amazing though ??

We have been going to Ruby River Steakhouse for about 15 years. We have had many great meals there but we have noticed a couple of years ago they switched their real butter for margarine which tastes like Vaseline. Last week we both ordered Salmon. Mine was under cooked and had to be sent back (the waitress was snappy with me). It had no flavor. My “jacketed sweet potato” was cut in half so I only got half the normal amount and that was a big surprise! My husband’s salmon was the “peppered salmon” and he couldn’t eat it because it had a funny taste. We are sad to see the quality of the food slowly get worse. I don’t know if we will go back again.

Great job guys. Fantastic cowboy burgers. Wonderful steak and ribs. Whoever invented a deep-fried baked potato should literally win some kind of award. Our service was excellent. Keep up the great work guys! Katy was awesome! She made us feel welcomed. She was attentive. Great music. Five stars

Came to Ruby River on a whim when my family was in town and I'm so glad we did! Our server, Josh, was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Definitely coming back again soon! :-)
