Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

As far as American-style ice cream goes, these guys are tops. Deep flavors, never a hint of freezer burn, generous portions, free tastes. Their sampler is a great deal, I recommend it for first-timers. I max out with a double scoop, I think it's richer than every other ice cream I've tried.

I was very impressed at the flavor selection. I ordered the Monkey Business. The flavor was good and the ice cream was very creamy. I will be definitively visiting them more often.

Top notch ice creamery! They make all their ice creams and ices right there in the store! No frozen product being shipped to them from some corporate kitchen.

They are an Ohio-based ice cream shop hence the name of their Buckeye flavor. I stopped in during a slower time and the staff was very friendly and accommodating of my many questions.

They do offer samples if you want to try a flavor or two before purchasing. The quality of the ice cream is very high. It's actually a gourmet ice cream.

They even have Frosty Paws on the menu for our furry friends. So dog owners can buy their pups a safe, healthy treat safe for canines when the humans get a tasty treat of their own.

Visited 7/2022, the line was 20 or so people deep but moved quickly. We ordered after about 20 minutes of being in line. The ice cream was wonderful and we felt it was a good value. There is no indoor place to sit so after you order everyone goes outside on the patio. They offer a bunch of flavors and a few different way of eating them (traditional cones, waffle cones, waffle bowls, cups and milkshakes) their flavors change on a regular basis but it seems like our favorites are always available. We would definitely eat here again!

I had a few minutes to kill on a 100° summer day before picking my kiddo up from camp. I decided to wander in and check our Handel’s after stopping at Scheels in Sandy. I worked at an Ice Cream Shop in High school and any place I’ve tried doesn’t quite stack up.... until now. There was a little line, but the staff worked through it quickly. The ice cream parlor is clean and the staff is very friendly. I had chocolate marshmallow and coffee chip. Handel’s ice cream is delicious, the right amount of sweet and the perfect mix of butterfat! I will definitely be bringing my son back in!
