????? Me and the wifey decided to try this place out and it was on hit! Skip the other “Mexican” food that are right in that same shopping center and go here. You will not be disappointed great portions and Great flavor and can feed your whole family! BTW come check me out at Good Vibes Barber Co ? and tell me how great their food was lol. ?????
Hands down the best Mexican food I have been able to find in this area! The street tacos were amazing, I couldn’t stop eating even when I was full!
I can’t believe how many disgusting fast food joints I passed on my way to Don Pollo Mexican Grill that had a line around the block. What is wrong with people that they would sit in a line 20+ cars deep to eat Panda Express? There’s another option people! Find a local restaurant and call in your order like I did for Don Pollo Mexican Grill. Instead of sitting in my car for 30 minutes, I walked in, paid for my food and walked out.
The food? Delicious! Chicken grilled to perfection, rice and beans cooked perfectly with nice flavor and finally dang good sauces.
So get out of your car and get some real food. You’ll also benefit that filthy SLC air by not idling your car and adding to the smog.
My only regret with Don Pollo is that I have lived in the area for almost a decade, and just now decided to give it a shot. This is a hole in the wall Mexican joint that isn't much to look at, but the food more than makes up for it. First and foremost, let's talk about the chicken. When I saw their claim about having "America's Best Chicken" I was skeptical to say the least. Yet, after taking the first bite - I realized that their claim wasn't so outlandish. I don't know what their seasoning process is but every single bite of chicken was moist and flavorful. The menu board doesn't do an adequate job of portraying the size of each meal. The portions are HUGE. They also have a chip and salad bar with 5 different salsa's. I believe the mildest one is made with garlic and has a ton of flavor. I like to mix it with the spicier avocado and red sauce to add some extra kick. Maria has been working at the counter on the last few times we have visited and has greeted us with a smile and excellent customer service with each visit.
This quaint little Mexican grill may be tucked away in a strip mall, but it packs with lots of customers and their food has lots of flavor. The menu is simple, but the portion sizes are large!
