Kabul Kitchen

I was just casually looking if any new halal restaurants opened up in my area, and I came across Kabul Kitchen. It’s located inside Halal Market, which was recently taken over by Afghans. While I usually shop there for my Halal meat, I had to try their new restaurant. ⁣

I ordered via the Grubhub app for pickup, as we wanted to eat at the park. As their menu items are still quite limited (no mixed grill), we ordered the Chicken Kabob, and the Lamb Kabob. The meat came with pallow rice, naan bread, salad, and chutney. ⁣

The food wasn’t bad, but I’ve had better Afghan food. The portions were on the smaller side. The meat could be more flavorful. The chutney was off, bitter mostly. The food overall was just dry. I did ask for white sauce, but got chutney only (guess they don’t have...yet). The complementary naan bread was a great addition to the meal, but what were we going to eat it. Seemed like a whole buncha carbs with not enough protein. ⁣

The customer service is awesome. Definitely some of the nicest people I’ve come across. They even offered me a drink from the fridge on the house. Check them out. They just opened. Hopefully it’s upward from here. I’ll be back to try the other items on their menu.

Very tasteful and fresh. Not expensive either. 10 dollars for rice 2 skewers of tawook, salad, salsa, fresh bread. Keep up the good service guys ?

I had Qabuli Pullao as well as fresh naan, qawah and bolani. Food was delicious and the service (Reminded me of my days in Peshawar). The owner is Pashtun and they serve fresh authentic afghan food. Highly recommend this place.

I love this place! The food here is SO GOOD! very healthy and delicious. The staff is super friendly. I always have a good experience here. If you're in this area and looking for something tasty and healthy, this is definitely the spot to check out.

Eventually! I found my favorite halal place in salt lake city, utah to eat my favorite food.
