The Hot Spot

For what it purports to be, a retro style greasy burger joint, it pretty much nails it. Let's be honest, there aren't many other options in the area unless you want to eat in a gas station, but it's definitely worth trying. I haven't been enough times to make any particular recommendations yet.

I ordered a grilled chicken salad and was quite surprised that it came in a fried tortilla bowl...I am thinking it got mixed up with the southwest chicken salad because it came with tortilla strips and black olives...the other weird add in was ham strips...all in all, it was good although the lettuce should have been crisper. My husband said his cheeseburger was good but he order a large fry and the portion size considered it was supposed to be a large, was Really quite pathetic and they were barely done. I would hate to see what a small size is! I gave it 4 stars because it's still 100% better then Mom's Cafe, which is in the same town but is absolutely horrible.

Great food. Nice outdoor seating as well. Burgers, fries and especially the shakes were excellent. The slightly salted onion rings were incredible. Nice place!

We stopped at this adorable place on a road trip to Vegas and had the most amazing quick meal. It was the perfect time to stop and stretch our legs but if you’re not up for waiting, I’d suggest calling ahead 10-15 minutes. I had the patty melt and a cherry milkshake. My boyfriend had the sticky chicken and munchies. Everything was AMAZING and tasted so homey, and the customer service was top notch. The word search in the window next to where you wait was a nice touch. We will be stopping back again on our road trip back home! Thanks for the awesome meal!
