The good: the salsa, the hot sauce we requested on the side, the Chile rellenos, plenty of indoor/outdoor seating with tables spread apart, yummy chips, fast service.
Not so good: the whole inside restaurant was empty except us but another party of 4 got seated right next to us... why?? (the waitstaff quickly reseated us to another table at our request), “Popeyes” spinach and mushroom enchilada had minimal spinach in it, guacamole was not that good.
Overall, some delicious items, but inconsistent. FYI not doing the specials listed on the website, which I understand given COVID times.
The staff was really friendly but our food and drinks were just okay. I ordered a michelada because I was excited to see it came with a tamarind stick but then it didn't and when I asked about it, I was just told not right now... The guacamole was good but the chips were a little bland and way too yellow. I love that their patio is pet-friendly though and when my dog threw up after drinking too much water, too quick, the staff were really caring and kindly helped me clean up.
Excellent frozen margueritas and they have Mexican style craft beer like IPA as well as local brews. The steak salad was huge as was the portion of guacamole. Waitress was super and didn't get in our face.
I was thrilled to see multiple vegan options on the menu. However, they need some more training on what is vegan and what that means. We ordered chips and salsa which I guess was two salsa flavors, one was not vegan, no big deal. We had our server ask the kitchen and she confirmed not vegan. Then when I ordered food, nobody knew what sauces were vegan. However, all sauces were options on the vegan/vegetarian menu. That is a little concerning. Then my food came out with a side of the non vegan salsa? It was a little irritating. The service was good, the food was ok. Worth trying, but definitely confirm everything you’re eating is vegan, if that is what you’re there for. The menu said it came with rice and beans, I did not get rice and beans.
