Donnie's Cafe

Cute "mom n pop" type restaurant with hearty portions and good food. The omelets looked fantastic. The ham steak was large. The only critic is regarding the biscuits n gravy. The biscuit was dry and the gravy seemed to be made from a mix - which appeared different from previous reviews- so maybe it was just an off day. Overall, a nice place to bring your family for a delicious meal.

Stopped here for a hearty meal between Fantasy Canyon and Dinosaur NM. Service was prompt, and the food was awesome. If you are from the south, skip the biscuits and gravy. Stick to the thickest, fluffiest pancake I've ever had. Green chiles in the veg omelet and they added one to the breakfast sirloin for us. Highly recommend. Coffee was meh.

I stopped at Donnie’s on my way to Dinosaur National Monument. This fun roadside stop has good food and friendly staff. The young woman, I wish I remembered her name, helped me get set up on the patio, and even got Tank a bowl of ice water to relax in the shade with. The French toast and fruit was exactly what you want it to be from a brunch cafe, Tank loved his sausage patty, and I enjoyed the perfectly-crisped bacon, and even took some to go for Tank and I to enjoy for a snack a little farther down the road. Although they had already run out of their famous cinnamon rolls for the day, I will be going back soon to try them, and of course will be there earlier than 14:00 to get them! Thank you for the good food and good service.

Would give 10 stars if I could. Everything from the friendly attentive staff the cozy atmosphere and the fresh home cooked food was amazing. Ordered the Chicken fried steak breakfast and was the best I've ever had. I highly recommend Donnies.

Had the 1/2lb. burger with a whole roasted green chili, a fried egg, and avocado! Best burger I've had in some time, and it didn't break the bank. If you're in the area, this is more than worth the stop!
