Edit 11/16/21: Went back to this McDonald’s again and there was hardly a line in the drive thru. This time our fries were filled to the top! No complaints about anything, it was a much better experience.
Original review: First time going to this McDonald’s, I did some “research” beforehand by reading reviews to decide whether to wait in the drive thru or order online. So many reviews stated the drive thru took forever, sometimes an entire hour, and we were going at 6:30pm on a weeknight so I opted for ordering online.
The drive thru line didn’t look too bad, but I had already ordered so we waited in a pickup spot. Two more cars showed up after us for online orders. I set a timer on my phone to see how long it would take. I watched the drive thru and figured that would have been faster. After about 16 minutes, an employee brought food out to the two cars that had shown up after us. Two more minutes and our food came out. My 10 year old yelled in outrage that we’d already been waiting longer. 😂 So 18 minutes total parked waiting for our online order after arriving.
They got our order correct, but the large fries were barely half full, and most of the food was pretty cold. Not a great experience, but not the worst. Because it’s so close to where we live, I’m sure we’ll be back. Hopefully they continue to refine their food and service.
2 bathrooms that hold 2 people each. You have to ask an employee to press a button to open the door for you. No codes or keys. That's only a problem because there isn't always an employee up front due to the focus on touch screen ordering.
Toilets are auto flush. Sink and soap are auto sensor as well. They have a nice Dyson blade to dry your hands. No paper towels. No changing table on the men's side. They did have toilet seat covers.
Went inside this McDonald's for the first time today... It opened during COVID and so just recently they finally opened their lobby.
The first thing that's different is that they only had kiosks to order at. That's fine, and if you've been to a McDonald's in the last 8 years you probably already know how to use them.
Next thing I noticed is that they don't have a drink fountain for customers to use. While I felt like this was taking a step backwards, I actually didn't mind going to the counter and getting a refill. It felt more service-oriented, like Chick-fil-A.
They also have these numbers that you put on your table that tell the employees where you are sitting, so they bring your food out to you, which was nice. Once again, upping the service side of things.
While we were there, an employee came out and talked to us and asked if we needed anything, and all of the employees we interacted with were kind and happy... Another change from my typical McDonald's experience.
So, overall, we had a good visit to this location... If I have to eat McDonald's (no offense... but I'm here for my kids), I'm happy that my local restaurant is a pleasant place to be.
Ignore the haters!!! This McDonald's is the best! We ordered at 5:30 on a Saturday using the mobile app. We parked and got our food in 5 minutes. They got our order perfectly right and gave us extra napkins and ketchup (many other locations have forgotten to give us ketchup). The nuggets and fries were crispy and delicious. I was even blessed with an extra nugget in my 10 pack. They packed the large fries to the top as well. 10/10 would eat again. :)
