I had to check this place out because I love sushi! I really liked the place, but only gave it a four star because I don’t know that I would be able to rave to my friends about the place and tell them they have to go. The atmosphere was very pleasant and inviting. I would recommend them putting up some temporary wall for when guests first enter because it’s kind of awkward when you first walk in and everyone is staring at you. Our server was nice, seemed like she was still learning so I will give her the benefit of the doubt on that. We only got sushi so this review is based on that. My wife got the Vegas roll and I got the Taylor, Playboy, Volcano, Heart Attack, and the Tropicana. They were good rolls. Not to get too picky but this was the first sushi place that I’ve had the rolls fall apart so easily. All in all a good experience and I will go back.

Tip- skip the short ribs. We decided to try somewhere new last night and Tapa did not disappoint. The wait on a Friday night was not bad. All flavors were very good. The Yakisoba had a different taste than we were expecting but very yummy. The shishito appetizer was my husband’s favorite. Good portion and very tasty with the sauce. The stuffed jalapeños were my favorite appetizer but we both thought the actual jalapeño part was a little too raw. The short ribs smelled so good and had a lovely sauce, however I wish I had read reviews on them first. Like others have experienced, ours were overcooked and hard to chew because of how dried out they were. Finally, the tempera shrimp roll was just boring and needed more flavor, maybe more eel sauce. Overall, we are satisfied and will come back.

First time at Tapa Sushi and it was a great experience. The server was fast to greet us and friendly while taking our order. Within 10-15 minutes we were inside, the appetizers were served and our sushi rolls were followed. Amazing food and atmosphere. Great prices for what you get. We ordered 2 appetizers, 5 sushi rolls and 1 drink and paid around $60. Totally recommend this restaurant!

Great place. Can get busy so plan ahead. Love that they don’t oversauce their rolls! I like to taste the flavors not just one generic sauce. The chicken katsu is different, but not in a bad way. The mushroom “gravy” over the top isn’t traditional (to us ), but the flavor is amazing. I just wish they would use fresh broccoli as a side. Other than that, so happy to have a good sushi place close.

1st time going here last night and it was very accommodating to everyone that was inside. Seating was set up close together but still not too invasive. Waitress was very friendly and courteous. The fish quality here seemed on point 👉
The atmosphere was good inside as well and bathrooms were clean.
Prices of the food were very comparable to the other sushi establishments in the area like hama and red 8
Only 2 things I didn't like that much which could have been a chef issue or it seemed they were training somebody but on my hand rolls which I believe they call "freestyle rolls" they were not closed on the bottom so alot of rice fell out. Also in my poke bowl and my rolls containing tuna the tuna was not cut properly and I had alot of real fatty pieces in the poke bowl as well and in the rolls some pieces were hard to chew but the fish still tasted good. I would go back and try it again sometime and I'd reccomend it as well still.
