This is pretty spectacular. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation alone or with friends or your significant other, consider this. While I wasn't particularly into the hiking part, those I went with were and said it was amazing. I did do a walking tour and several other activities of which there are many and they were great. Plenty of fun classes. The spa is lovely. And you are not going to outdo the view. The only thing I would ding was that some nights the service was fairly slow in the restaurant however the food was very good and all staff were great.
I am someone who travels a lot. Been all over the world. This place was my best travel experience so far. Amazing food. Amazing locations. Rooms could be a little better but they were above average(not much) the spa is top notch. The service also amazing. Just a great experience overall!
Location and views are spectacular! The spa was also so amazing. I loved the shops and the pools & hot tub, the hiking and yoga - almost everything. The three star review is due to the food. The food was horrible. Each meal was bottom grade and so disappointing. I’m such a foodie and this place could be so much more amazing with better food and more variety. For the price of the resort, my expectations were high for the food.
The resort is gorgeous and feels like a community. The rooms are not boutique style but are average and acceptable. The services available are to notch and the restaurant is excellent and reasonable priced for a resort. We honeymooned here 10 years ago, and just returned and enjoyed it just as much
This place is a rare gem, hidden beside a stunning, but rarely visited red rocks state park. Red Mountain is a Luxury Experience Resort, meant to bathe you in the mysticism of the red rocks. Many of the guests have been visiting the resort for decades, me included, and we treasure the independence we find around the beautiful, but lightly staffed grounds. We come to hike the magnificent red rocks, bike the Snow Canyon road, learn about the geology/flora/fauna of the canyons, do yoga in the vortexes, enjoy the low calorie meal offerings, try sound baths, mystical labyrinths, cranial sacral massages and all sorts of other truly extraordinary experiences that we don't have at our homes around the country. We come for those rarified moments in the red rocks-- not for the fussiness of any old luxury hotel.
