It all started when my friend and I were driving down Red Hills Parkway on a lazy Saturday afternoon and we caught a glimpse of the hand-painted "Street tacos" sign. We knew we had to make a stop and try these authentic Mexican street tacos.

The taco stand is situated in the front yard of an unassuming residence under a white canopy, but don't be fooled by appearances. As soon as master chef Abuelita emerged from the kitchen to check on her daughter Roxann at the grill, we knew we were in for a treat. The aroma alone was enough to make our mouths water.

We decided to try the al pastor and carne asada tacos, and boy were we blown away! The meat was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and served on warm, soft tortillas. The freshly made ceviche was equally impressive, and we couldn't get enough of the watermelon and pineapple agua fresca, which was the perfect refreshment for a warm summer day. Unlike most places in town, it wasn't overly sweetened and tasted like it was made with real fruit.

The experience was truly one-of-a-kind, and we felt like we had stumbled upon a hidden gem.
