This place has been my favorite since I was young! The cheese is THE BEST and the shredded beef is what they are doing right! If y'all don't like this place then you have not grown up in the Ogden area and your welcome to not return to this gem! You guys are great and just keep on doing what you do best!!!!

A 3/2 star, no better... The ”salsa” tasted like marinara sauce - usually it's some type of fresh salsa, not here (see pic) it's like tomato sauce; the chips came out of a bag, were all sizes, broken, and where not warm (see pic); the beef in my burrito was dry, the portions were sufficient (see pic with fork on burrito), but no left overs, and the taste was ok - but nothing to brag about... The service? Ok, they didn't even pour my water, just put a pitcher on the table and left... The saving grace to not get a 2 star was that the restaurant was decorated nice, the price was good at about $8.00 w/ tax, and I got my food fast at 1140 am... Took about 5 mins... If this is the best Mexican food Ogden has to offer, I will not be eating Mexican food in Ogden again...I WON'T be going back to El Matador... If you do, at least you were warned

Good food! The chips were better than the tostada shell so I ate it with them. But it was good!!!

Best Tex Mex ever. It’s not authentic Mexican...it’s better. Just good old fashion favorites. Don’t forget to start with the best hand cut fries in town!
