Jake's Over the Top

Staff is super nice. The wait for food isn't too long and their fries are the best I've had.... Also try a shake, there's so many flavors to choose from.

Everything you could want from a hole-in-the-wall burger shop. They get all the little details right, like both buttering and toasting their buns. I saw families with small kids and a group of elderly friends while I was there. The restroom is the only negative, since it is only accessible from outside of the building.

If I'm at Jake's it's to get a shake and occasionally some fries to offset the sweet. Their shakes are big, the junior size is shareable depending on how much shake a person wants. I have never finished a regular size on my own. When it gets super busy it might get a bit chaotic, this is pretty much manned by high school kids doing their best. The rest of their menu (burgers and fries) isn't bad, though maybe not my first choice. I think it really depends on who is working the grill, consistency is not a strong point; however, Jake's is a staple and part of the Ogden community. I'd be sad to ever see it go.
