If I could give 10 stars I would. I've been going to this place now for approximately 3 years or so, and usually 3-6 times per week. I live close by so I consider myself lucky. I've lived close by for 20 years but was always put off by the outside appearance of the restaurant. It has a kind of rundown, scummy appearance to it.

So anyways, after the nearby Chinese restaurant that I used to always go to closed down, I decided to give Lee's Fish & Rice a try and haven't turned back since.

I have eaten about everything on the menu now including ham fried rice, fish (cod), halibut, jumbo shrimp, regular shrimp, scallops, clam chowder, egg rolls, chicken, and coleslaw.

My number one favorite item on the menu right now is the scallops. They are so delicious. Also, I recommend the jumbo shrimp over the regular shrimp. All their sauces are the best I've ever had anywhere. Their ham fried rice is the best I've ever had anywhere. Same with the clam chowder, best I've ever had anywhere. And same with the fish (cod) and jumbo shrimp.

What makes the fish (cod) so great is it's deep fried in a delicious batter. I think it's the same batter that they use for the jumbo shrimp as well. I especially like their tarter sauce.

People don't go here for the atmosphere. The atmosphere is lame. Most people get their food to go. What makes this restaurant so great is the excellent taste of the food. And I can tell you moneywise that anything you get at Lee's Fish & Rice will cost approximately 50% less than similar meals at other restaurants, all while tasting 10 times better.

And no, the food isn't perfect every time, but it's still better than the food at any other restaurant I've ever been to.

They only accept cash or check, no credit cards.

This little ma & pops shop hasn't changed much in its 30 years (approx)... but neither has the prices!
If you like fish, especially halibut, you won't get any better than this even for triple the money. You could take the halibut out if the box, serve it up at any fancy restaurant, charge $40 & people would think that was a value! It's the best and one of the few good things about Roy, Utah.

Taste and quality of the cod filets and coleslaw are the best of anywhere. Prices are so low, and this former KFC building and parking space are so small that this place is easy to misjudge. Do yourself a favor. Try it, and pay extra. Your be content for only $5 or $7. Can take out for large groups, but the food is best eaten immediately.

Husband and I went there for lunch on our first visit. Fish was great. Side choices are fried rice, fries or coleslaw. We prefer plain rice. Since my husband had to work that evening, we decided to buy dinner and bring jasmine rice from home. Pictured is the three piece meal with coleslaw for $4.99 which is a great price for what you get. Coleslaw was delicious but fish was a little greasy.
