Mike was an excellent seasoned waiter. Scallops appetizer and chowder were both delicious. Many times squid ink pasta is hit or miss but this was melt in your mouth fabulous, served as frutti de mar with saffron butter. Wine list was fair and not over priced. Overall a great experience which made the last day of our trip even better!
Very good. Best Clam chowder. Service is excellent. Had a very good evening in a nice and cozy environment.
I recently went to Bleu with some coworkers to celebrate the closing of our greenhouse being sold.
We went anticipating an enjoyable, fun and delicious time but unfortunately were disappointed.
The whole dinner the waitstaff was very much in our space as well as having a rude undertone. My table asked for a Riesling and the waitress told us they didn’t have one. But upon further reading of the wine list, there was in fact one. It felt a little like she just wanted up to spend more. The server following her kept referring to me and another guest at our table “young lady,” and though we appreciate that he thinks we were young, we are in our late 20s-early 30s and it felt a little condescending.
We got the scallops and oysters to start. The scallops were over cook and the dish lacked flavor in general. They’re served on corn and tomato and it just tasted very bland. The dish was rather dry. The oysters were alright, but had a lot of little flakes of shell and sand.
By the time we finished our starters we wanted to leave but had already ordered our dinner so we stayed.
For the main courses 2 of the guests at our table ordered the strip steak for $38. It was served with dressed greens which were a little weak. Just tasted like some Italian dressing on some lettuce. The meat was tough too.
The salmon was good, it was served with swish shard and polenta. Though I’m pretty sure they forgot the horseradish. So overall it was a little too filling and plain.
We left all feeling like the restaurant was alright, but not for its prices and experience with the staff. I was looking for that, “wow this is excellent!” But only felt that the food and flavors were mediocre.
Torn between wether the food or service was better. We were well taken care of, Trish was amazing. Requests were accommodated, couldn’t have asked for more.
Went here for restaurant week. The food and ambiance was excellent. The lobster roll tasted so fresh. My girlfriend had the tagliatelle with wild mushrooms and it was delicious.
