I had a lovely visit here. Nice people and good food. It seemed a little bit of a wait to get our entrees, however.
This is a gem in Burlington VT, where Vietnamese and other Asian style restaurants have taken off, it is refreshing to have a Moroccan cuisine. My family and I went here for the first time for a birthday celebration. The food is not spicy with heat, it is spicy with aromatic spices. The hummus is amazing, the portions are just right and we shared two entrees between three people. The owner and chef came out personally to greet us. When he found out it was a birthday celebration, he made jasmine green tea especially for our party and sent out complimentary dessert. Please be patient, if they are busy, as right now, it is just the owner/chef and one wait staff on duty, because he is just getting the business going, open just a little over a year now.
Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The owners obviously take pride in the time they take, using only the finest quality ingredients, recreating their family recipes to create wonderful dishes that burst with incredible authentic Moroccan flavors.
And don’t worry if you don’t have an adventurous pallet. There’s nothing in Moroccan food that’s strange or weirdly prepared.
We’re going back tonight for a special anniversary dinner and can’t wait for even more mouth-watering Moroccan cuisine tongue-gasms!
Go taste for yourself what sets the Little Moroccan Cafe apart from the usual restaurant fare— you will be *very* pleased!
The food was delicious, especially the sampler appetizers. It was a bit pricey and we were taken aback when we saw that we had been charged $2 extra when we twice asked for more pita bread to complete our meal, once for the appetizer and again for the main meals. The atmosphere was very interesting and the man who owns the restaurant was super friendly. Service was immediate. We highly recommend Little Morocco Cafe.
We love this place! Had wanted to go since we saw the “coming soon” sign. Get the Taste of Morocco appetizer. Owner is friendly and a wonderful server. Feels like an old friend is cooking just for you.
