Zabby & Elf's Stone Soup

This place is one of the most magical food experiences I’ve ever had. I was in Burlington three summers ago and stumbled upon this wonderful place and had a delicious meal here. I went back to my home state of Ohio, I moved to California for two years, and I still thought of and fondly remembered Zabby and Elf’s Stone Soup, even though I had been there only once. Luckily, my partner and I took a trip to Vermont this week and we ate here twice in that time. The ambiance, the staff, the food, the decor. Everything just makes you feel cozy and happy. The food is so comforting and you can just tell that so much love has gone into this business. I am very sad to be leaving Vermont in general, but extra sad to leave this gem of a place behind once again. I will always come back here when I am visiting!

The buttermilk biscuit is the best I've had out of the south, even better than the ones I make, and I make great biscuits. The owner came out from behind the counter to make sure I got excellent customer service. It's college town, trendy area pricey, but I am totally satisfied with my meal.

love the fact they are back open, great quality food (love the chicken wings) and they have a small, but very fresh salad bar the staff keeps well stocked. Def recommend if you're in a hurry!

Excellent food. Very unique place. One of the owners took the time to talk and gave us a free order of their delicious wings. So nice! Highly recommend!

We just had catering from Stone Soup for a company lunch. They asked a few questions about the people here then designed a menu based on that information. The food was excellent, I highly recommend this restaurant!
