Heart N Soul by Mark BBQ

Today I visited Heart N Soul by Mark BBQ in South Burlington and was thoroughly impressed. This place is a real hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, the Texas BBQ atmosphere was inviting and authentic. We tried the poutine with burnt ends, prime rib, and fried chicken. The quality of the food was outstanding - flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served in generous portions. The prices were extremely reasonable, making it a great value for such high-quality BBQ.The service was quick and efficient, with no wait for an early dinner around 6 PM. Although this location has been open since December, I feel it's quite underrated. The culinary experience I had here was nothing short of amazing. This little gem of a restaurant is definitely worth a visit, especially for those who appreciate great BBQ. Heart N Soul by Mark BBQ has won me over, and I can't wait to return!

Feel bad leaving a mediocre review, but that was the experience. Outside of building is really awful looking and that's understandable as they just opened in Dec. , inside was slightly better. Our bill was 45 for two sandwiches and two sodas. With that said, I would completely expect that of the food had for the price. I had pulled pork w slaw, and my friend had brisket w fries. The portion of meat was great, but it was put on a .25cent hamburger roll. Slaw was great, but the portion of fries for the price. I guess I had high hopes and still do for the future, but first impressions mean a lot

They’re now in the Burlington area! 🥳 Missed them when they were in Essex, was able to enjoy two trips when they moved to Colchester and now they’re almost next door to me 👏🏻👏🏻
We love their smoked meats, chili is a lot better and service just as awesome as always. This time the dining area is not as ample but just as cozy. Highly recommend!

Had another great experience at Heart n'Soul by Mark BBQ today. The food is always excellent and their new location is warm and welcoming.
Run, don't walk to try this place!!

Burlington has had a small town BBQ joint vacuum since I moved here 10 years ago from Texas and finally the mantle has been taken. I had the brisket sandwich and my wife had fried chicken and both were incredible. It's been far too long since I had delicious slow cooked meats with all the fixins.

The venue itself has been massively improved since the previous owner's attempt to refinish the old chinese restauraunt. They've quite clearly poured their heart and soul into this restaurant and I hope that this time next year they have a line out the door akin to Cattleack in Dallas, TX.

Tl;dr: Delicious, local, and reasonably priced. Worth every penny.
