Their barbecue is truly authentic. The owners David and Cindy deliver fall off the bone, crave-able meals that are clearly made with love. The beer selection is a perfect variety and there is an endless possibility of pairings.
The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, a perfect place for food, beer and great conversation. My husband and I look forward to the 4 hour drive from Maine for their food and hospitality.

Really homey environment! Staff and owner are wicked friendly. I wish they had more options on the lighter side and more space but other than that it was a good night. Fries are great.

David and Cindy are awesome owners. Not only do they make amazing bbq dishes but they are very attentive to their guests and really make you feel like you are the center of attention. They are personable and share their own experiences from moving from Massachusetts to Texas back to the northeast here in Vermont.

The food: They have their sausages flew in from Texas, which are phenomenal. The brisket is smoked to perfection as well as the pulled pork.

The spirits: If you are a beer connoisseur like myself, they have amazing ipas with a excellent variety to chose from.

If you are in the Jay Peak area, or just enjoying the beauty of northern Vermont this place is a must!! Thanks Dave and Cindy we will be back!

My son and I ate at 242 today and just loved the food, the place is real nice and the people who waited on us were fantastic! Great place! I will be taking my son back there and other family and friends soon!

The best brisket I have had! Everything we had was great. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will go frequently.
