Great food family business home made foods and bakery
What an incredible delight to find this little bakery! I can't begin to gush enough about this gem. Hot open faced turkey on homemade bread with gravy, mashed potatoes, and cole slaw. Same for hot hamburger, etc. I had the best plain egg salad I've ever eaten. Located in an old post office, I think there are only six tables. Note that they are only open for breakfast and lunch, except for Friday when it is pizza night. I'm told the pizza is amazing! Also, the baked goods are sumptuous including the world's largest cinnamon buns. Make time to go one day - you won't be disappointed.
This little restaurant has great breakfasts, the best homemade doughnuts, and the friendliest staff. Seating is limited and it's not fancy but you won't find a better breakfast around.
Stopped in to get "To Go." The Corn Chowder was fantastic and the wheat rolls that came with it were delicious, as always. Unfortunately, they ran out of the chowder so I couldn't get as many bowls as I wanted/needed as a for my family. They are so worth the trip to "the country." You won't go wrong from the bread to bars to there are so many to name.
I've been going here for 20 years and they always have the best baked goods. It's become a habit for my girls and I to get a quick treat for breakfast in the mornings before school. Everything has been excellent but my favorite is the maple, white chocolate chip scones.
