Poutine is unbelievable. Good beers, good food. Pretty much the only place to eat in the area, but it's excellent.
A unique and cozy place in a small town. The food was excellent and well prepared and the presentation wasn't fussy or elaborate. The portions were large and definitely well priced. Had a a local home cooked feel to it. The service was warm and inviting both the times we visited, once during dinner and then lunch. The bartender was very knowledgeable and was able to prepare a drink that we asked for that usually trips up other bartenders and he had a good balance of having a chat with out being overly intrusive.
Great staff and drinks albeit service was a little slow given we were there at 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday with very few people there. Food looked delicious however I personally didn't eat it but my companions did. That said, we'll definitely go back and plan our timing accordingly.
Great fish and chips. Nice atmosphere with a pub / small restaurant feel. There is an outdoor seating area as well which is pet friendly. A whole list of draft beer options which are unique if you're a beer drinker.you can also sit at the bar for food and drink. Staff were very friendly.
This place could be so much better.
We ordered a bottle of wine and sat and waited and waited for the bartender to get it for the server. The restaurant wasn’t busy and there were only two people at the bar so even though we asked a couple of times where the wine was it still took forever to get it.
We ordered onion rings for an appetizer and they were way overcooked, and came without any dipping sauce. When we asked for some horseradish sauce the server brought us out some thick shredded horseradish on it’s own - how do you dip an onion ring into that?
I ordered Shepard’s pie which was quite tasty. My wife had the veggie burger which was good but the French fries with it were way over cooked - same as the onion rings. Does anyone here know how to deep fry?
Great location and very nice building. Original decoration was great but they’re not paying attention to keeping it clean and tidy.
Listen - it’s the little things that count! Pay attention!
