The Stowe Village Inn

An amazing team came together with a vision of what hospitality at a Vermont inn should be like, and now they are so deserving of this recognition.
Even before we arrived, all of our special requests and needs were addressed in a personal manner. This historical gem has been elevated to a state of the art accommodation with an infusion of tradition and a modern touch. Each room features newly restored wood floors and fixtures, freshly painted walls with charming colors, new floor rugs, furniture, bathrooms and electronics.
In addition to soaking in the charm of our guest room, we had the benefit of spacious sitting rooms that included fresh Vermont coffee and teas at our disposal, a parlor with delightful seating arrangements with a large screen television, along with additional cafe style tables for someone to capture the outdoor view with their coffee, or set up a laptop to work. The first floor also includes another notable room that had an assortment of books, games and puzzles.
We enjoyed the weekend benefit dining in the Grant Room and listening to great jazz music.
The owners and staff treat the guests like family and are well equipped to provide local recommendations for those of you who want to explore the Stowe area. The Stowe Village Inn is conveniently located in walking distance of Stowe's Main Street and the walk along the river and through a classic Vermont style covered bridge opens up additional ways to explore Stowe.
I can't thank the owners and the staff enough for everything they did to make our stay so wonderful. For the first time ever, I did not want to return home. Who would want to give up this dream like experience with the most comfortable beds, daily cleaning services that were magical and a warmth and energy from the owners and staff who inspire me.

This is a great place! The Innkeepers are new owners and can't do enough to make your stay the best ever. It's just a 10-minute walk through the covered bridge to downtown to adorable shops or 15 minutes uphill to restaurants and more shopping. Ideal location! The brunch is great - all locally-sourced coffees and teas and home-baked scones and power bars. We are already planning our next stay!

First time visiting Vermont, and I have to say, it was all as spectacular as we’ve always heard it was! So glad we stayed at Stowe Village Inn, right in the heart of Stowe! Mike, the owner, was so very helpful in pointing out best scenic drives, trails, restaurants, and the best spot for sunset pics! Our room was cozy, super clean, and perfect for us! Everyone at the inn was so friendly; it seemed as if we’d known each other for years. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Wow - was so glad they had room for us at the inn! Check in went smoothly and they are very prompt if you have any needs. Very charming place and I can't wait to see it when fully revonated. Room was very comfortable. We celebrated our 43rd anniversary so they gave us a bottle of champagne - now what chain hotel would do that! Owners and staff are wonderful people and made you feel like family. We originally booked for 2 nights but wanted to stay extra night and they accommodated us to stay in same room. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Stowe to stay at the "Inn".

Wow, the Inn has been renovated and feels super fresh and clean. The old New England charm was kept along with a slightly modern feel. My room in the main building was nicely appointed and very cozy. The owners greeted me on arrival and the check in was very smooth. The location is perfect, right in the center of Stowe. There are many restaurants and cafes in the area, most of them are within a short walking distance. No need to drive . I was looking for a nice place to get coffee in the morning and the staff had a great recommendation. Definitely would come back 10/10!
