“After following them on Instagram for a while and being impressed by their content, I couldn't resist trying their maple syrup. Even though I'm from Castleton, making the trip to their place was worth it. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out they sell it in Woodstock. Their maple syrup is hands down some of the best in Vermont. Plus, the owners' content is not only kind and wholesome but also adds a personal touch to the whole experience.”

“Burgers were decent, sides were tasty. Nothing really stood out about our visit. Prices were good, service was friendly. The restaurant was cute and had big floor to ceiling windows, but was easy to miss from the street, it was actually inside of a shared space with a coffee shop and some retailers. They offer gluten free buns/bread and a few vegetarian options. For a small town with few options this restaurant stood out.”

“Just walked in spur of the moment with a girlfriend to have some lunch. I ordered the smoked salmon three egg(!!) Omelet with sweet potato fries and broccoli. We chatted away after having the drink order placed and promptly served 2 min later. When I discovered that the broccoli was actually roasted and seasoned nicely instead of just plain blah ( something that happens often elsewhere) I started paying more attention my plate! Fresh hot crispy sweet fries and a delectable omelet stuffed to the nines with fresh veggies with a bite and salmon. No cardboard eggs here!! My friend had a hefty portion of fish and chips with coleslaw ( big bowl!). Travis ( chef, owner?) stopped by to check in, which I thought to be a really nice gesture for a restaurant like this. Not expected and we much enjoyed our chit chat. We will definitely be back! Hope he finds a jukebox to add to his diner, anyone know of one let them know please, he's looking.”

“We stayed the weekend at the Highland Lodge as part of a group celebration. From the moment we arrived, Elsa, Chad, Betsy and the whole staff made us feel welcome and part of the family. They are clearly focused on taking care of guests and making sure you have a great experience. To top it off, the food and drinks are outstanding. Given we visited just into the shoulder season (i.e. cold spell in September), we got to enjoy the outdoor fire pit and some outdoor grilling (over the fire)! And, they are organized to take care of any COVID guidelines, with masks, etc, to make you feel safe as a guest. We will definitely be going back!”
