Seafood is excellent and view from the patio is amazing
The first time I was here there was a happy hour with dollar oysters and a beer and burger combo for $15. The burger was delicious and there is an interesting local beer selection. We cleared out the oyster inventory that weekend. The osyters come with a yuzu sauce that was delicious.
Unfortunately this wasn't available the second time I visited a few weeks later.
Excellent place. All 2 people reservations are out at the serving station bar or high tops at the bar so make sure you are clear of you want a table in the dining room, it is small. Dining room is nicer. Get the peasant and duck. It was great. The mussels run out super fast. Get an earlier reservation! Service was good. And they have a great wine list.
I am from NYC and this restaurant is as good as anything I have ever had. Pheasant and duck where amazing. Side dishes mushrooms and brussel sprouts were incredible. Bourbon selection was incredible. Steak tartare best ever had. This chief is worth his wait in gold. Service was also great. Helpful made great suggestions. Only neg is the price by worth the price for the quality. This restaurant was finding the diamond in the rough.
Chef Aaron pitched a perfect game. It was a meal I will remember for years to come, one of the best meals I have ever eaten. It was a seven course tasting menu, each dish better than the previous, every course, delivers highest marks in execution, creativity, technique, presentation, and ingredients. I'm not kidding, everything was perfect, it was a meal that all others will be compared to. Do yourself a favor and make a point to eat at Verde.
