Pretty good food. We were famished after driving down Rt. 4 for a couple of hours. Sticky surfaces, but you can’t have everything. I had a burger. Big and tasty. My spouse had a salad with chicken which she enjoyed.

I think this place could have gotten 5 stars if the waitress we had was trained. We didn't get all the menus (not sure why there are more than one). The only menu we got was the smoked meat menu and kids menu. No drink menu, wine list, or beer list. After we ordered, we could see other tables with 3 menus that included other options like seafood, steak, and appetizers. So our only option was smoked meats. Anyway.... no plates served with the bread and coleslaw they give. Just a total lack of waitress skills.
My food was pretty good (I got the 1/2 baby back ribs and 1/2 pork ribs) and generous helpings. Took a while for the food, but probably felt that way because we didn't know they had appetizers. Took an hour and 15 minutes for my 11 year old son and I to have dinner. We were the first ones in the dining room at 5pm

Wow I am so glad that I stopped into this restaurant when I was going down the road. The meal I had was so good. It was called the slammer. It was a sandwich with BBQ pulled pork layered with coleslaw and pepper jack cheese, heated until melted. Served open-faced on a homemade roll with baked beans, potato chips and pickle. The restaurant had so many different old items to look at inside. The music playing was from the olden days around the 50s. Was just a great place to stop and have a meal. If I come back to Vermont I will make sure I stop back here for a meal.
