Mezeh Mediterranean Grill (Charlottesville)

I love the choices, and if you enjoy spicy food, they can help. I really enjoy every meal that I have had here. If you are hot spice sensitive, ask for the items that don't contain heat. The flavors are amazing.

Food is consistently good. Today we ordered extra piece of pita and it wasn’t quite ready. To our delight they brought us out a generous portion of fresh warm bread when it was ready to enjoy with our food. Have eaten here dozens of times always on point.

Amazing (and healthy) food! This is our favorite “fast food” place! Plan to bring some food home - the portions are enormous if you add all of the toppings you want (which are so many if you love Mediterranean/middle eastern cuisine). Make sure you stop here!!!

The amount of options and the amount of delicious food you get here are well worth the money. From Chicken to eggplant, olives and several hummus options. I usually get a brown basmati bowl with a vegetarian or chicken protein. The line can get a little long but they usually move at a decent pace. It can get a little smokey in the restaurant if they're grilling protein. If you like Mediterranean, it's worth a visit.

Great place, great food! This what I wrote about one year ago.

"The portions got way smaller, disappointing. The food was good but the staff did not seem to know what we where saying at any point in the ordering process. This is a big change from what it used to be. My pita was doughy and the staff didn't do anything when I let them know."

I tried them again recently, the portions were generous, the staff was very friendly and even the pita was perfectly cooked. They have now labeled what all of their options are. This avoids much confusion. I will make this a regular stop again, it's right back to being one of my favorite restaurants.
