Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We spent three and a half hours there and never once felt rushed. One of our party ordered a custom dessert, and they made it exactly the way he was hoping.

Wonderful staff, fantastic food. Good portions for the price. Best damn steak around.

Pleasant staff and prompt service. The building gives it a clubby, old English or boring type of feel. The food is newer style. The salad was a standout. The lamb rack was good but unevenly salted and in places over salted. Could not identity anything in the flavor of the locavore lamb to distinguish it from conventional. They readily allowed substitutions not on menu.

The food manages to be little works of art without becoming precious. This is a recurring theme at the Ivy Inn. Everything on the menu has something unique about it, but if another restaurant were to offer that dish, it would be better at the Ivy Inn... Just a little bit more like mom used to make. The historic house is also a unique setting, at once comfortable and elegant. And the desserts... The kind of dishes you think back on and remember fondly.

Very pretentious place. Served 2 slivers of bread (specialty), so thin hard to get a track on the flavor. Seafood soup was delicious, but brought in a bowel and just covered the bottom, could had put more in. Had the fish, it was fine, some vegetables underneath , not nearly enough and not cooked enough for me. Shared a pecan cinnamon dessert with ice cream which was enough for 2 and delicious. Spent $108 before tip, with only one drink, husband had bison which was good ,and same soup. So for us it's not worth the price, atmosphere was fine, staff attentive.
