1799 Prime Steak & Seafood

took my hubby here for a pre Father’s Day dinner. Food was great!. We enjoyed the steak rolls, sea bass, filet mignon paired with Mac and cheese and creamed spinach; all delicious! Our server was also very pleasant. I could not give 5 stars because after viewing the website and seeing the supposed dress code, I was a little disappointed to see that the dress code was not enforced.

I ordered the pork belly, which was delicious, and the szechuan salmon, which was also delicious but could have used a little more heat.

My dad had the pork chop, and he enjoyed it. The wings were good. My mother had a kale salad and crab cakes, which she enjoyed. However, the steak and collar greens were not her favorite, and the collar greens had a lot of sugar, and the steak was medium well, but she requested medium.

This did get rectified as another steak was made for her.

I would give this place a 3 out of 5 as there were some really delicious things on the menu and the music was really good but because not everyone at my table was happy with their food, and the place is pretty pricey in compassion to Ruth Chris, Mastro's, and a few other fine dining restaurants.

Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, all around great experience! We've been here a few times and we always enjoy ourselves. We normally sit at the bar which is in a cozy little offshoot away from the main dining room. The steaks we've gotten have always been cooked to perfection. The bartenders are always on point making delicious drinks that are served with style. I always recommend the 1799 Smoked Manhattan for any whiskey fans that we bring here. Best place for steak and drinks in Old Town!

What a fabulous way to kick off my upcoming birthday with lunch at 1799! Keith, our waiter/bartender, was fantastic! We went with each and every one of his recommendations and they did not disappoint! Keith has got some good taste!

The Crab Avocado Tower was absolutely delicious. It was flavorful and colorful with juicy lump crab meat, corn succotash, and smashed avocado stacked to impress. The Lobster Roll was good, fluffy, buttery, tossed in lemon aioli. The Blackened Grouper Sandwich was really good. It was light and flaky with blackening seasoning giving the fish a subtle spicy flavor. The Cheesecake Creme Brulee was creamy, thick, and custard topped with white chocolate shaving on top, just like creme brulee! Great food, great service, and definitely worth the price!

We had a great time! Jacqueline and her team were wonderful. They took care of our every need. Very professional and friendly. The court yard was nice and toasty on a February evening and the food was superb! We LOVED everything on our personalized menu! The whole party plans to come back again.
