Never had oysters before tried the salty Wake I believe and it was bomb! Their margaritas are also amazing they have an oyster happy
Hour! Not sure if the drinks were happy hour prices but it was well worth it!
Went there with my girlfriend and we had a great experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was not only exceptional but inventive and surprising... also excellent cocktails!
Make reservations, crowded and noisy, food was very good with nice portions, fresh. Had avocado and shrimp salad which was excellent, nice little kick to it, and small plate of friend oysters which ended up being a dozen. juicy well cooked ones- I can't imagine what the large plate would have been. Left very satisfied.
All I ordered was the small plate of oysters, which wasn't actually small at all. The oysters were plentiful, large, plump, perfectly fried and delicious. My tiny friend ate every morsel of her large, beautiful beet salad with shrimp and raved about it. Plus, we had the best table in the restaurant. I can't believe I've never before dined at Hank's. I'm looking forward to future visits.
Oysters were very good. The mussels not so much. Drinks were good and I loved the dark chocolate pieces at the end of the night, that was a lovely treat. I must say though that I was really bothered by the ice melting underneath my seafood and not being offered fresh ice to keep the food chilled. I couldn't finish my food because the melted ice would seep up over the shells and it just kinda grossed me out.
