Great savory food that is unlike anything I had had before. The fufu with peanut stew was rich, spicy and fun to eat (with your hands)
I love this restaurant. They serve very delicious food.
Great food, great service and great music. It is in a ethnic food-lovers' dream location, neighboring many other cultural restaurants left and right. Calabash does not disappoint. Request for Richard if he's there and you won't be disappointed. I've been here a couple of times now, and on my most recent visit, Richard was courteous enough to provide all guests with free sodas and excellent service. The portions of food are huge, the restaurant and bathroom is always clean, and there is even a small bar at the front if you want to grab a drink. Coming from the country that has the best jollof rice in West Africa (Liberia :), the jollof rice with charcoal grilled chicken is so amazing here. If you're in the Arlington-Alexandria-DC, this is one of best African (Ghanian) spots in the Northern Virginia area hands down.
Not bad African food. Pretty close to the one you get in Ghana. I just wish customer service would be better.
They are always closed. The times on here aren’t right. Make sure u call. I don’t know if they want money smh
I went here with my bf and we got some recommendation from the staff. All of the food was so good even though it was a bit spicy for us but we guess it is because of the tropical food feature in the mean time the beer manufactured from Ghana was so good. We loved the Beef Suya and will definitely visit again to have it.
