Really enjoyed the bar here. A nice, quiet pub feeling to it. You can have a real conversation without yelling over the other patrons. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are friendly. Highly recommend.
The exact Irish pub you were looking for, actually.
Corned Beef/Cottage Pie/Guinness? Check.
Trivia night? Check.
Live Irish folk music? Check.
Rugby watch parties for every single six nations tournament game? Absolutely, along with cheers for the correct team.
I went here for a birthday gathering. We had a lot of fun. It is actually bigger than what you would think, but it was still crowded. There was a live band that sung what the crowd suggested and everyone would sing along. This place is an awesome place to have a good time.
Nicely done lean corned beef with cabbage and steamed carrots standing on their own were right darn good. The mashers were dry and chalky however. Couldn't really prove by me whether they came out of a box or out of a skin! Just hoping maybe they had run out of the good stuff late on New Year's night? The Irish stew was rich and decent. I'd grab a salad or something w/ that if I was you.
Beautiful portals, nooks, lecterns, and paneling throughout provide lots of privacy options if you like and are obviously recovered from what had been a fine old church somewhere. If you're Irish or Catholic you should feel right at home. Especially in the confessional booth?
Knowledgeable and forthright staff and all in all we had a right fine time. Thanks!
Stopped in for dinner and a few drinks, while on a business trip. This is a nice authentic and cozy Irish restaurant and pub. The menu was typical of any quality Irish place and the food was excellent. I recommend the corned beef and cabbage or the lamb stew.
