Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap

Last night was the first time my daughter and I visited the restaurant for dinner. From the start, we were greeted by smiling hostesses and seated for what became an amazing food experience. Maria is a wonderful server who added to the overall experience. If you want delectable food, lovely atmosphere and wonderful service, run to Lena's....it is worth every penny!

The gnocchi are a religious expereince. The service was very fast and lovely. We also ordered the calamari and the mushroom pizza and they were also excellent. Drinks were tasty. All around excellent experience.

Food was amazing and our service was great. We came from out of town and the prices seemed fairly high for what we got so be warned if you come from a low cost of living part of the country. Other than that it was fantastic.

Amazing service. Great neighborhood place. I was there early, and they took care of me with coffee while I waited for the ovens to heat up. Great staff. They even cooked an off menu pizza for me since I was the first customer there and they weren't slammed yet.

As a transplant from New Jersey, I have really struggled to find any perfect pizza in the Nova/DC area. While Lena's is nothing like NJ pizza, I really love it. The sauce is flavorful, the crust is crisp with just enough char, the toppings are fresh -- so good. Why do so many places in this area have such gross, flavorless sauce?! Not Lena's! Their sauce is good! I'm a vegetarian and there are other menu items I love, like the gnocchi, which is so so so delicious. LOVE some of the cocktails, too -- the Barilé is my favorite -- honestly just bought the bitters used in that drink to try to recreate it at home (sorry, Lena's, I cannot spend ALL my money on you). There are rotating seasonal drinks and food specials, too, which are usually just as good, if not better, than the rest of the menu. Also, the giant photo of the woman on the wall there looks like every woman in my boyfriend's Italian family, so we like that, too :D
