RT's Restaurant

For a place that's been around for 30 years, I would call it a diamond in the rough. Although its been well reviewed, it's really a place where you can have a freak Cajun meal. I had the Death by Gumbo and the rue says it all. There is a nice old wooden bar, and its just a place you go to hangout and get some great Cajun food in Del Rey.

Service was good, food came out quickly. We had the Crawfish Etouffee and Cajun Veal Oscar, both dishes were tasty. Our only complaint was the bread that comes before the meal was cold and butter should be at room temperature.

This bar reminds me of home, and the bartenders are so kind! The stuffed oysters go great w/ drinks in my opinion. Happy hour is from 4-7 every day!

Looks like a hole in the wall but menu selection is great (focus on seafood), service is excellent and prices are reasonable! Wine list is also decent. If you go once, you will go again to try the things your companions had.

Customer service was great. I had the crab cakes and baked potato. The crab cakes did not have fillers but they also did not have a flavor. No seasoning on the crab cakes. Other people at my table enjoyed their food from the oysters, pork chop, gumbo, chicken and fish. The mashed potatoes were said to taste as if they come from a box.
