Went to Savios Italian restaurant last Saturday evening. Great table, but a bit weird service at first. The mixed drink was terrible and peunney with no garnishes at all. The rest of the service was very good. The food was also very good. The deserts were excellent. Expressos were mediocre. The reason for 3 stars and not 4 was because cocktails are important to me and i was very disappointed with mine that night.
The food here is authentic, with the fish on the regular menu the best I've had anywhere. Habib, the owner and sometime chef, takes a personal interest in ensuring his diners' satisfaction.
Nice Italian restaurant with a family-owned feel to it. Lighting at night is
very dim, which makes for a sort of romantic date night atmosphere. Service was great and portions were very large making the prices reasonable. I ordered the ravioli which was good (not mind-blowing), but I highly recommend the Panzarotti for the appetizer. Very heavy, but they're essentially amazing fried cheese dough wedges. Very shareable, very delicious.
Authentic. The waitstaff creates this elegant soft-spoken evening feel that takes you out of D.C. and puts you in Italy. The beer menu isn't listed, but ask your waiter and you'll be delighted with a selection of Italian beer. The cuisine can actually be described as cuisine, even the simple dishes are delectable.
