Jack's Place

We were met with excellent service by Richie. The menu was priced fairly and had a lot to offer. The restaurant was small but seemed perfect for the traffic flow. Most tables fit 2 people but there 4 bar seats as well.
The food was very good! If you like supporting small businesses and are into diners, you need to check it out! We really enjoyed this neighborhood gem.

Everything was super fresh and super delicious. This is my favorite kind of place for breakfast.

Great affordable place for a quick bite in old town. Not fancy, don’t compare it to some of the places that cater to the aspirational brunch crowd, but you will pay half the price (though they do have smoked salmon and avocados if you need them). Food was good as was the service. Good traditional breakfast choices and deli sandwiches. Excellent stopover if your biking along the Potomac waterfront as only a few blocks from the trail. Has a few tables so you can eat outside and the street is quiet with little traffic.

Four stars for the food but maybe three for the ambience. Well, ambience might be overstating it. "Locals" feel. Really great takeout. Club sandwich with real bacon and crunchy, fresh vegetables. Excellent rueben with good meat and tangy sauerkraut.
