Homestyle Italian cooking on a cozy setting, with great, friendly service. The food was very good; I had Osso Bucco stuffed raviolis, which were very tasty, but could have been more generous in the serving. Very reasonably priced as well.

A traditional Italian place in old town. There are several but this one is by far my favorite. The food was awesome and the servers are very friendly. There's also a live pianist on the weekends.

I feel like I could eat the pasta here every day of my life.

Be warned, the service is a little slow. But that's not a bad thing. It's all a part of the vibe. So don't come for a quick meal, come for a long and good time.

One of the rarest experiences in dining out is to feel welcomed as family… tonight we enjoyed our amazing dinner (top notch delicious!) with an entire staff who truly made us feel like family. Whenever we find ourselves back in this area, we will certainly not pass up another dinner at Trattoria da Franco. Some of the most genuine and gracious people take seriously the hospitality they show to all their guests. We walked in as strangers, and left as friends looking forward to our next visit. As soon as you walk in you can feel the vibe of a family owned restaurant. The food is a solid 9.5/10. Everything is done from scratch at the restaurant. I’m not giving it a 10/10 because the garlic bread was kind of burnt. Everything else was amazing. The service was incredible and the wine was so good we couldn’t stop drinking it. We ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it was done at the moment and it was unbelievably good. The owner Franco is amazing he was paying attention to the service, food and that we were having a good time, he even was singing.

We love this place! We stumbled across it one evening looking for a good Italian place in Alexandria. We called ahead, walked in, and were greeted with live music (a gentlemen playing piano and singing classics), and Natasha and staff. We had THE BEST meal. Wine, appetizers (try the Bruschetta), and the best homemade pasta I’ve ever had in my life…. First bite is a bite of Heaven. The atmosphere is intimate, quiet, and cozy.The pasta dishes melt in your mouth - nothing bad on the menu! We love the service, the food, and the environment. My husband and I have made this our new date spot! Highly recommend for quiet date nights and family get togethers or to take visitors in town!
