The best tacos I’ve ever had. I had the Pollo and Mixto ones. Both phenomenal.

Excellent food, service, and home cooking made by someone who loves his job and cares about your experience. Legit tacos, not knock-offs. Support these tacos and this self-made man!

Sweet. We had heard of these tacos for months and finally went to have some. Worth it to the last taste.

I'm not sure tacos can get any more authentic than this... certainly in the DMV area. In fact, I'm prepared to go on record and say that you will likely not find any place in the DMV area that is serving truly authentic tacos like El Chilango. Not only are they muy delicioso, but they're incredibly cheap at $2.50 each (with the exception of Lengua which is only 50 cents more at $3). Seriously, you can't beat that.

So you're probably asking what makes this place so authentic. Allow me to educate you. It comes down to 3 main characteristics: (1) Fresh corn tortillas, (2) Double-wrapped using 2 tortillas per taco, and (3) the petite sizes which amount to 2-4 bites per taco depending on your bite size. Other indicators include filling options like cactus and lengua (beef tongue), both of which many places do not serve.

Overall, the food is simply perfect and they churn these things out super quick. Enjoy them street-side or they'll gladly wrap it up for you to take home. Either way, they're damn good. Authentic, fast, delicious, cheap. Do you really need anything else?

Food truck offering a limited number of taco options. Good food. There is no seating so plan use a take-out restaurant, sit in your car to enjoy, or sit in the small patch of grass adjacent to the truck. They are closed on Sunday.
