This was my second time to Tupelo Honey and it definitely won't be my last. So far I have tried the shrimp and grits, the chicken and sweet potato pancakes, and the chicken and biscuits. Pictured is the chicken and biscuits. The coffee is also delicious, and I recommend the southern hospitality mimosa. Every meal starts with complimentary biscuits, and you have to try them with the honey, it is divine. All portions are large and I think the price is reasonable. Additionally, if you can, make a reservation, wait times without one can get up to 2 hours on the weekends.

Updating this review, original review still posted below. In the past few months I've been back to Tupelo Honey a number of times, and the food has gotten consistently better. The menu hasn't changed substantially, but the execution has gotten better -- their meals actually taste as good as they sound now. Even their coffee has gotten better!

Original review: They have so many great food ideas on their menu that all sound delicious, but having been here a number of times their entrees are consistently underwhelming and overpriced. Most dishes are underseasoned, including the fried chicken. Brunch is also disappointing. Their appetizers and happy hour are decent, although they recently cut their happy hour hours. The atmosphere and service are definite upsides, and their patio is very nice in good weather.

Expect entrees from 15 to 25 dollars, with most in the 18-22 dollar range.

My fiancee and I cannot get over how good this place is. To start off the atmosphere here matches for a place that sells sweet potato pancakes and fried chicken. The food is to die for. Shoo Mercy sweet potato pancake platter. Cannot stress how good this was. The best part is the staff. Our server was super nice but the biggest kicker was the general manager Ryan. He not only congratulated us our on wedding soon but also bought us dessert and gave us free dessert and glasses .Couldn't be happier with the service and food.

Atmosphere is vibrant and cozy. Drink menu is somewhat limited, but the few cocktails are excellent. As a Popeye's Fried Chicken enthusiast, I was excited to see they had a dedicated chicken-menu. However, the fried chicken arrived barely warm, and as a result had lost all crisp in it's skin; this is punishable crime in many southern states - so not very authentic of Tupelo. Service was noticably slow if we're being honest. I should have rated it 3-stars, but I'm a merciful God.

Breakfast so good! Service our first time was not great but the second time was on top of it. We decided the food was better on the regular menu over the brunch menu. Pictured is the shoo moo sweet potato pancakes and chicken, so amazing. fried chicken here is really good, the breading is everythinf. Southwestern omelet is also a great choice.
