Prepare yourself... Bring a defibrillator. If you order the sandwich, it's a monster. It's huge, succulent, crispy, juicy, and can be hot (spicy) based on your preference. It's an excellent sandwich, but it's pricey. A fountain drink, waffle fries and the chicken sandwich is over $21.
I got take out from this hidden gem. To set the record, I'm a huge fan of Nashville hot tenders. I haven't found a place that competes with true Nashville style but this might be the one. They call themselves a Sichuan x Nashville style and I like it, but honestly they taste very much like the true Nashville style, with maybe a slight hint of sweetness. They also have a house sauce that pairs very well with the tenders. They serve them with bread, pickles, and waffle fries or coleslaw. The fries were perfect... That seasoned crunchy style is my favorite. They coat the tenders a bit heavy in the breading but I wasn't against it this time. Maybe next time I can ask for lighter batter, but not a deal breaker. Their spice is also apparently made without lard and their own oil style, which tasted fine to me. Spice levels were maybe a tad weak though... Got level 6 and it wasn't all that spicy so might up that next time. They also have sandwiches which I plan to return for. There's also other chicken dishes which maybe I'll try later down the road. But speaking for the tenders, taste, style, etc, I give them 5 stars. Go try them out! And no not a paid review lol
First time at this location. Ordered the 5pc Wing/Not Hot (4 pcs are pictured because I forgot to take a photo, before digging in). Chicken was hot, moist and juicy. Might seem odd to mention, but even the slice of toast, and side of pickles tasted great.
Gal at the register (dark hair, black mask) was very friendly, and patient when describing the different levels of heat. Will definitely return, and try an order with a bit of spice.
I had a great experience at Hot Lola's. The cashier was very nice and I ordered quickly. I was excited to find out that they have ACTUAL SWEET TEA, which is rare in NoVA. Even in "Southern style" establishments it's not always available so this was nice. I would have loved a non sweet option too but I made due just fine.
The sandwich itself came out very quickly and it was HUGE. Well worth the $12 price. I got the OG Hot which was kind of spicy but I would probably get a level or two up next time.
Overall the food was great and so was the service and I look forward to my next Lola's sandwich
The spice of the spicy chicken sandwich here is real🥵! They have 5 levels of spice. I chose OG Hot and it was perfect! The chicken was perfectly seasoned juicy. I also really like the coleslaw and the dressing. I would like to come back to try other things on their menu.
