I’m being generous with my star rating because I don’t want to hurt a newer business that at least deserves a chance. My real rating is 2/5.

Honestly, I did not like the majority of the food I got here and that’s my major gripe. I’m not sure if I just have different taste buds than others around here since I’m from North Carolina or if I just ordered the wrong thing. I feel like it’s unfair to trash a restaurant, especially a newer one, based off one meal.

My wife got the pulled chicken and I got the pulled pork. The meat was cold by the time I got home ten minutes away. It also tasted like it was frozen meat that was reheated with propane, but I’m no expert. I know it’s harsh and I’m sorry.

The baked beans were okay. My wife liked them but I didn’t particularly care too much.

The potato salad was honestly, and I hate to say it, the worst I’ve ever had in the many different BBQ restaurants I’ve been to. It was very watered down and “liquidy” as well as the potatoes were hard chunks and flavorless. I’ve had better at Target.

The barbecue sauces were okay. I had one that I liked more than the others. I can’t remember which is which, but this one had more smoke to it.

I think the Macaroni and Cheese was the best part of the meal. That was the one thing I loved and it had a very good twang to it.

Pricing-wise, pretty standard for the area. $10 is a platter of meat of your choice with two sides.

Parking-wise, an okay size lot but multiple businesses in the area. Not sure how busy it gets.

The inside isn’t very big. Two tables with benches and about 8 stools.

No fountain drink machines. Bathrooms in the back.

Nice and courteous staff when I went. Kind of sucks that the food just didn’t work for me. I’m no expert and just am a connoisseur of BBQ.

I’d be open to try again and get something else but as of now I don’t agree with the rest of the reviewers here. Sorry.

Excellent BBQ. They have a couple of tables but the business is primarily take-out. Pulled pork, brisket, jalapeno and cheese sausages all great. Varied selection of sauces, from sweet KC style to h-h-h-hot and spicy. Meat servings and sides are generous. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity--a single two-meat platter with two sides can make a meal for two people. Be sure to try the cheesy jalapeno grits.

Great food and wonderful service. The ribs and brisket are delicious! Will be coming back with family and friends.

Their Brisket and BBQ is so amazing! Best I’ve ever had in the area! The sauces and meat are top notch, definitely will be coming back a lot.
