The 3 of us liked their flavorful and healthy food and also appreciated the good service. They make an effort to use only ingredients that do not have inflammatory properties and offer a range of options within that parameter. Well worth a try if you are in the Ballston area.

Overall a good place to eat healthy food. Good Margarita pizza. Great Squash soup. Okay Brussel Sprouts. Pretty good grass fed burger. Service is great here and the staff is very friendly.

I absolutely love True Food Kitchen and have been going to them since the San Diego location opened in 2012. I have been to numerous locations throughout the U.S. and have had a wonderful experience overall. I have been to this Arlington location 5 times since it opened in May and I can honestly say, I have been disappointed in the service more than anything on most occasions. One afternoon I went in for lunch by myself, was only the second table there/seated when they opened and literally sat there for 23 minutes until someone approached my table. There was a full staff in the restaurant just hanging around (and this was after their opening shift meeting, so it wasn't like they were busy listening to the manager). I was ready to get up and leave right as a server finally came to my table. I figured since they may have been working out the kinks since opening a month earlier, I overlooked it. But it happened again two more times I went there after that, which was a huge turn off. Hardly anyone in the restaurant, tons of staff just standing around, and horrible service. The food is always great, although the last time I went, I ordered a gluten-free pizza and notified the server it was due to a legitimate allergy (which is one of the reasons why I eat here often - they cater to healthy eating and gluten-free options). A regular pizza was delivered to me and the food runner said it was gluten-free when I knew it wasn't and I didn't eat it and let the food runner know. It took the server 10 minutes to check on the food and said, "That's not your gluten-free pizza" and I said I knew and asked for the correct one to be brought out. I get it - mistakes happen, but I am also familiar with the restaurant industry from a prior job and routine mistakes like this with service need to be taken care of better. With that said, again, great food and options.

We had a large group and they were very accommodating. I really loved how many healthy/vegan things they had, but still had a bunch of meat options, so it wasn't a judgemental vegan place, just a healthy options and sourced food place. We had a stroller, which we are always chill about, and they made sure to help us with that. We had no problem getting in and the service was good. The place was really nice and clean. It was a moderate noise and excitement level. There were a ton of drinks and juices to choose from. We really loved the food. I had the banana pancakes and loved them.
