Virginia Dare Cruises & Marina

Even though it was raining the day I went with a group of my friends it was still a fantastic trip. Food was excellent. Best chicken salad I have ever ate. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful.

The owners of Va Dare went way above customer service today. One family had car issues and missed the cruise. So the owners brought them out to the cruise in their private boat to enjoy the rest of the cruise. Great food and a beautiful cruise today.

This is a small place to visit if you're on the lake and in a pinch to use the restroom or something. There isn't much in the store and there is a small grill if you need something to eat. The bathrooms are relatively clean, but the shop is sparsely stocked. Gets three stars not because of the cruise, which I did not participate in, but simply because there isn't much to rate. It's just a small shop with a small restaurant attached and small dock if you are spending time on the lake and need to re-fuel. Clean with nice staff, but not much else to do.

Overall good experience. Met the captain before boarding and was very personable. Had lunch on board and was impressed with quality and quantity. Everything was hot and delicious. Narration was informative and just enough detail. Wouldn’t recommend for young children. Not a lot of room and would get bored easily. A bit costly but when on vacation it’s to be expected.
