We were welcomed to Bristol in the parking lot behind several businesses by the owner of Eatz before he realized we were looking for his restaurant. Husband, wife and son family business. Even at 2:00 on a Tuesday, people continued to stop in to eat. Incredibly friendly place and the BBQ was great. Small menu, but good portions and very reasonably priced.
We visited Eatz for the first time the other night and we arrived about an hour before closing. The service was alright, but not exceptional. There were others that received their drinks before we did that came in after us. The food is wonderful though! I have zero complaints about that! The catfish is the biggest fillet I’ve ever seen! The cornbread is sweet (just like it should be) sweet tea is great, the bbq sandwich was huge and one of the best in this area! The only thing that disappointed us was they had ribs Thursday, Friday’s and Saturdays and we weren’t told about that :/ we definitely would have tried the ribs if we would have known they had them! But other than that, everything was superb! We will be back!
Great southern hospitality on our way back from spring break. We needed some comfort food and we got treated like family. It was a busy place full of locals, so we knew we’d made a good choice. The barbecue was good and the baked beans were amazing.
We absolutely LOVE to support out locally owned businesses, and this is hands down one of the BEST! Their pulled pork, ribs and banana pudding cannot be beat, (seriously - GET the banana pudding.) I love the whole vibe and the owners are some of the best people around.
The food here was absolutely amazing. A friend and I were walking to a different restaurant downtown, but passed by Eatz and decided to stop in due to not wanting to walk further in the rain. We are so glad that we stopped here. The value is incredible as well as the customer service. Get the catfish!!! It is some of the best catfish I have ever eaten. The barbecue sauce was was also outstanding. I had it on my fries and it has the perfect amount of heat and tang.
My friend ordered the dry rub chicken and loved that as well. And the cornbread!! We had to take some to go.
Long story short: plan a trip here. Eat the delicious food. Enjoy the delightful atmosphere & service. You won’t be disappointed.
